The book is hailed by contemporary economic history community as a masterpiece of economics during the period of Republic of China. It is a monograph on strategic issues of China’s economic development published by economist Wu Jingchao in 1943. The book reviews the achievements and deficiencies of China’s economic construction over the 60 years since 1881 and makes a systemic planning for China’s economic construction that was about to start in full swing, covering such issues as industry, agriculture and mining, regional development priorities, management modes, human resources, and funds.
