Liang Heng is a famous scholar, news theorist and writer. Liang worked as a journalist with Guangming Daily, Deputy Director of the State General Administration of Press and Publication, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of People's daily. He has won the Youth Literary Awards, the Zhao Shuli Literature Award, the Lu Xun Literary Prize Nomination Award, the National Outstanding Popular Science Work Award, the National Good Journalism Award and the “Five-One Projects” Award from the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee. More than 70 articles written by Liang, including Jinci Temple, Midu River, The Beauty Spanning a Hundred Years and Shooting over the Railing, have been included into various versions of textbooks for primary and secondary school students.
