Chen Shangjun, director of the Research Center for Chinese Ancient Literature of Fudan University and distinguished professor of humanities and social sciences. For more than four decades, he has devoted to the research on literature of Tang and Song Dynasties and classical literature, punctuated and collated Old History of Five Dynasties and New History of Five Dynasties, and published several hundreds of papers. Supported by the research achievements accumulated for decades and new materials in academia, Prof. Chen’s articles written in recent years vividly reproduce the wonderful life courses of the ancients lying in oblivion for long.
