Zeng Xiang

Born in 1958 in Suizhou, Hubei Province, Zeng Xiang (also known as Yifu, Qutang, Mumutang, and Sanyouzhu Liuzhai) is one of the national first-class artists in China. His impressive career has seen him hold prestigious positions such as Director of the Office at the Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Institute of the China Academy of Art, postgraduate supervisor at the Graduate School of the Academy, research fellow at the Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Institute, Secretary-General of the Calligraphy and Seal Engraving Institute of the China National Academy of Painting, Director of the Seal Engraving Institute, and Deputy Director of the Art Committee within the same institute, Vice President of the Hubei Calligraphy Institute, and Director of the Art Committee of the Chinese Ceramic Print Art Research Center at the Beijing Institute of Technology. He is currently a research fellow at the China National Academy of Painting, advisor at Zeng Xiang’s Calligraphy Studio at the China National Academy of Painting, and postgraduate supervisor at Changxin International Art College of Yunnan University.
