Sun Jingyan is a member of the Literary Reportage Committee of China Writers Association, a member of the Chinese Reportage Association Council, and a national first-class writer. She has published 18 massive reportages, four collections of essays and reportages, and one academic monograph, and has engaged in the production of several TV dramas, documentaries, and microfilms. She has won more than 20 literary awards, including the National Outstanding Reportage Award, the “Five-One Projects” Award of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the 4th “Three One-Hundred” Original Book Publishing Project Award of the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, the “Zheng Tai Cup” Chinese Reportage Award, the first prize in the Outstanding Books Award of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the Outstanding Books Award of the China Publishing Group, and the 7th China (Weihai) International Micro-Films Competition.
